Lincoln Charter School serves approximately 480 students in grades K–6. The proposed equipment will be accessible to all students during the school day, recess periods, and summer learning programs, ensuring broad and equitable impact.

This initiative is led collaboratively by Lincoln Charter School’s Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, and academic leadership team. These professionals have conducted needs assessment and identified equipment that will provide the greatest developmental benefit for students.

Because development is experience-dependent, access to safe, structured play environments is essential for building the motor, sensory, and regulatory skills that support lifelong learning. For many students, especially those in underserved communities, school-based playgrounds represent the most consistent opportunity to engage in meaningful physical activity.

Investment in this project will directly support children’s physical health, academic success, and overall well-being by ensuring equitable access to critical developmental experiences.
