Thank you to everyone that has donated so far! We are off to a good start with GiveLocalYork officially starting about 1.5 hours ago. I have decided that if we reach the goal of 15 people of at least $15, I will do something crazy in my class one day next week. If I reach $500, I will do something else crazy. If we exceed both...not sure what I will be doing but it will be a surprise to the students.
For 15 years, York Academy has been more than just a school. It has been a place where students discover who they are, build confidence, and find a community that believes in them.
One of the things that makes our school so special is the diversity of our students and the many ways they are able to shine. Walk through our halls and you will see students from different backgrounds, cultures, and experiences coming together, learning from one another, and growing as a community. That diversity is not just something we celebrate. It is something that strengthens every classroom, every conversation, and every opportunity we provide.
Our students are not defined by just one path. Some find their voice on stage through our Theatre Program. Others build teamwork and resilience on the Volleyball and Basketball courts. Some discover strategy, creativity, and connection through our Esports program. Every club, team, and activity gives students a place to belong and a chance to grow into who they are meant to be.
This year, we are celebrating 15 years in a simple but meaningful way: 15 donors giving $15 each to honor 15 years of impact.
