Central PA Horse Rescue is a volunteer-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to rescuing horses from slaughter, abuse, and neglect. We work to find them loving homes and provide the necessary rehabilitation to get them there. There are times when these horses need additional care due to their past experiences, so they become a permanent resident at the Rescue.

Our mission is simple: we're committed to saving horses of all ages and breeds by providing them a safe haven until they can find their forever homes. Since our inception, we have saved over 178 horses—and we're not stopping anytime soon!

PLEASE HELP US CONTINUE SAVING AMERICA'S HORSES!

Thank you for your support!

Daisy and Snickers joined the Central PA Horse Rescue family in April 2022. The girls arrived at the rescue with hooves so long they could barely walk. The pain of walking on their own hooves caused them to lie down and not move, even when they were hungry or thirsty. Daisy and Snickers’ owners chose to do right by them and surrendered them to us. The girls do have some permanent damage due to the neglect they endured, but they are happy and healthy and doing better than ever.

Brandi is a horse with a sad past. She was abused by a trainer and then starved at a boarding facility—all before she found her way to Central PA Horse Rescue in June 2019.

Since then, she's regained her strength and gained weight, but she still doesn't fully trust people. We're working with Brandi every day to rebuild her trust in humans and show her that we're here to help.
