The Employers Education Foundation is committed to the development of a world class workforce that offers programs and activities in the community that supports the education and training of our youth in manufacturing careers.

Manufacturing is the largest employer in York county and for every new job in manufacturing 3 additional jobs in other industries are created – manufacturing is critical to our economic success!

Programs supported by the Foundation:

  1. Pre-Apprenticeship Program for High School Students
  2. Career education website: iexploremanufacturingcareers.com
  3. Student career exploration events like national MFG Day & Mfg. Career Day
  4. Career Scholarship funds

Scholarships:

The Foundation manages a scholarship fund.  These are advertised annually in High Schools throughout the region. Scholarship monies from these funds are given to a South Central PA High School Seniors who are accepted in to a technical or trade curriculum. These are given for one-year only in the freshmen year of college.
  1. Carl Winters, Jr. Memorial Scholarship - Carl was a Tool and Die maker by trade for over 50 years he spent his “retirement years” at the Association and devoting spreading his passion to school students interested in a career in the trades.

The Manufacturers' Association started this program to give students the ability to explore a career in manufacturing before entering the workforce after graduation. Pre-Apprenticeships are designed for high school seniors enrolled at partner schools who are considering pursuit of an Apprenticeship in a chosen trade after graduation!

Help us support the Pre-Apprenticeship Program - we can teach high school students how to make it BIG in a manufacturing career!!
