What We Do
Latinos Unidos of York is a connector using its knowledge, experience, community relations, trust and ongoing engagement with existing service organizations and in formal partnerships and to enhance the quality of services to the York County Latino community.

Latinos Unidos of York is a grassroots organization. We go in the neighborhoods we serve throughout York County. We have four main goals. First is to work side by side with community partners to find, recruit and place Latinx talent with York employers in government, nonprofit and York businesses. Second is to continue to build community partnerships with nonprofits and businesses in York County and the surrounding areas. Latinos Unidos of York uses our knowledge, experience, community relations and trust within an existing service organization to enhance their quality of service to the York County Latinx community. The third part of our mission is to impact and improve the quality of services of individual experiences in the Latinx community by introducing a rating system that measures the success of programs, services, and individual transactions. The rating system allows service recipients a way to provide valuable feedback about their individual experience with providers. The fourth part of our mission focuses on proactively engaging directly with the York Latinx community to foster greater dialogue and move people to action through the use of community ambassadors. LU Ambassadors are individuals trained and managed by LU. They are actively canvassing the community to find individuals or families in need of specific services. They talk with members of the community to learn first-hand about issues impacting the Latinx community. LU Ambassadors facilitate access to services and make referrals or face to face introductions. They promote and participate in activities involving members of the York community, Latino and non-Latino.
