Loving Care Cat Rescue

Loving Care Cat Rescue (LCCR) never puts a price tag on the lives of the cats we save; no cat or kitten is ever denied medical treatment based on cost. Our mission is to provide loving care to every cat that comes through the rescue, regardless of their circumstances or medical condition, and actively seek a permanent home for each cat/kitten rescued. Unless serious illness would warrant, euthanasia is not an option for cats in the care of Loving Care Cat Rescue. LCCR is a foster network with 54 Foster homes and 110 volunteers.

LCCR received 501(c)(3) status in 2016. So far, we have adopted out 6,419 and saved 6,929 local cats and kittens as an all-volunteer rescue. Our average is 693 rescues/saves and 642 adoptions per year! 

Each cat or kitten receives age-appropriate vaccinations, spay/neuter surgeries, treatment for parasites and most importantly, any medical or emergency treatment needed.

This care is made possible by donations and fundraising campaigns. While events help us to spread the word about Loving Care Cat Rescue, the majority of our budget is from donor contributions from people like you. The board or our founder pay for all administrative costs, so 100% of funds raised go directly to the cats and kittens in our care. 

2026 is our fourth year of Give Local York participation. We offer our deep thanks for your support and invite you to join our life-saving efforts.

Please consider becoming a foster to help us help cats! Fosters care for rescued cats and kittens until their forever homes are found. Supplies and veterinary care are provided. Fosters decide how many and which cats to foster. Experienced fosters are available as mentors and support.
