See More Good Foundation

Created in 2020, the See More Good Foundation was created as a neighborhood initiative to bring optimism to the Central Pennsylvania area through the game of basketball and financial literacy education. Starting with camps and clinics, See More Good spent the summer of 2020 training youth basketball players on how to elevate their game on and off the court. The first camp was held for 7 middle school aged young men, and by the end of the summer, we had 30 kids, both boys and girls, regularly learning basketball fundamentals, financial terms, and setting major life goals for themselves. Since then, the operation has grown significantly, as we have successfully completed two full seasons of spring/summer AAU basketball with the highly competitive SMG Hoop Dreams class of 2025 AAU team, three college tours, an overseas trip to Denmark, multiple gift giveaways, and the successful placing of our first SMG Prep Pipeline student at a nationally-ranked boarding school. Today, SMG has a main focus of ensuring that the youths who started working with us in 2020 are put in the absolute best position they can be to be successful at reaching their dreams. Many of the participants dream of attaining higher education at an affordable price, while also being able to continue playing the game of basketball at the highest possible level. As such, SMG has developed relationships with college preparatory schools around the country, in hoops of matching the SMG youth with schools that can provide them the additional educational opportunities, athletic exposure, and life-changing experiences they need to become their best selves. The process of training kids to become good enough to be noticed by prep and college basketball coaches, offering them tutoring to have academic profiles that would entice admissions counselors, and transporting them to see different schools and develop an understanding of what school experience works best for them is a very time and capital intensive process. All donations will allow the See More Good Foundation to do exactly what its name entails. Through the SMG Prep Pipeline, the entire Central Pennsylvania area can be seen by the rest of the world. We know that once the world sees what we see in these young kids, everyone will See More Good.
