South Central PA Search and Rescue

A nonprofit organization

$13,647 raised by 75 donors

We are an all-volunteer Search and Rescue team consisting of 42 members and 9 K9, stationed in York County and respond to lost and missing persons when requested by Police, Fire, or EMA.  We provide a variety including K9, UAV (Drone), EMS, search management, and ground teams.  While we primarily serve York county, we are often requested for assistance in surrounding counties and will at times travel further in the commonwealth and Maryland. We are available 24/7/365, and will respond in all weather conditions.

All of our team members pay for their own training and equipment. This is especially true of our K9 handlers, for whom their K9 are family members.  Team equipment is purchased via donations and a few grants. The tables below show some examples of costs to the team and to individual members, it is not comprehensive but should help paint a picture of the resources required to continue our operations and get better at what we do.

Support from donors and sponsors is both welcomed and greatly appreciated, as it allows us to purchase much needed supplies and upgrade or replace aged equipment.  We receive no regular or recurring funding from Federal, State, or local government agencies.  We need your support to enhance our Drone (UAV) and medical care capabilities.
