The mission of the South Central York County Senior Center is to establish and maintain a Senior Center by providing programs to facilitate the social, emotional, economic and physical wellbeing of our senior citizens regardless of race, religion or nationality. We proudly provide educational, informative, social and recreational programs for all York County residents aged sixty and over. Membership is free! Located in the New Freedom Community Center, seniors enjoy a nutritious lunch and the camaraderie of friends and neighbors. "Why eat lunch alone, when you can join us for a nutritious meal, good company and fun activities?" Our membership is increasing monthly as more and more seniors in the area are looking to connect with programs and people. We are more than a place to have fun, for many we are a family. We are serving over 1000 fresh lunches to seniors, monthly on average. We partner with the York County Area Agency on Aging to provide Home Delivered Meals to shut in seniors as well. Over the last 12 months our volunteers have delivered 16,082 meals to the homebound in 13 municipalities in Southern Central York County.
