Sparrow Place is a Christ-centered non-profit organization that exposes the evil of human trafficking and seeks safe shelter for women affected by trafficking.

We accomplish this task through:

  • educational programming designed to equip students, school personnel, churches, community members and other stakeholders to become aware of the very nearby evils of human trafficking.
  • organizing local prayer warriors to walk their neighborhoods and praying for all things hidden to be exposed.
  • hosting community events to educate, empower and equip our community to be alert to trafficking and take the next steps towards exposure.

Human trafficking is a hidden & unchecked threat throughout York County.  Join us in spreading awareness, preventing victimization, & providing healing & hope for female survivors.  You can help to reclaim freedom.  By donating, you are partnering with us in below to cover the costs of education, outreach, and future emergency shelter services for survivors in our region.  You can also join the fight for freedom by keeping a vigilant eye on trafficking (yes it happens here), praying for victims/survivors and organizations working to combat trafficking, and organizing an event or speaking engagement with Sparrow Place to spread the word on how you can make a difference!

Mission

Sparrow Place reclaims freedom for survivors of trafficking through victim-centered programming and Christ centered healing, hope and recovery.

Background Statement

Sparrow Place opened in 2017 as a residential treatment center for women affected by human trafficking. We learned quickly that this vulnerable population is wildly broken and worthy of our time and attention as they were mistreated in the most evil and vile manner. Originally operating with volunteers, we quickly discovered this task requires trained professionals, to which we have focused our efforts two-fold: Education and fundraising. We educate our community through in person events and school outreach to equip our community members to be alert to trafficking. We fundraise to support the highly trained staff these vulnerable women will require to obtain physical, spiritual and mental freedom. We are diligent and hopeful to open as an emergency shelter to assist local law enforcement in providing safe shelter to trafficked women.

Needs

We currently are seeking monthly donors to support our efforts to reopen as an emergency shelter.

We are currently looking for praying saints to walk their neighborhood and pray that everything done in the dark be exposed in His glorious light.

We are currently looking for opportunities to speak and educate our community members to be alert against human trafficking.
