Trinity Youth Center

A nonprofit organization

It has always been on my heart to have a fun location for youth. I just didn't know what it would be. I was only a pre-teen when I first realized that young people do not have many options outside of school or organized sports. 30 years later, I heard the instructions I am supposed to carry out from God himself. Every detail from how the youth center will be operated to the programs and activities offered, even the name of the center was specifically given to me. Trinity Youth Center.

We are currently seeking a location accessible for West York Students, as well as York City, Vocational and Charter Students. Although we feel West York Borough is lacking youth services and resources, we want to be available to all youth in York County between the ages of 12 and 19. We have received our 501(c)(3) just a few short weeks ago. We solely rely on donors, grants, and fundraisers for funding. We hope to secure a location and be running within the next 6 months to a year.

Some of the programs and activities we offer are peer tutoring, resume writing, mock job interviews, job searching, life skills, mental health awareness, video gaming, recreational sports and social skills. Our youth center is a safe place for everyone. The age group we are focusing on is the 12-19 age group. We feel this age group is in dire need of resources. Where the school districts end, we begin. At Trinity Youth Center, we believe that our youth are our future. We need to pour into them every resource that we have so that they can grow and be successful, productive citizens, mind, body, and spirit.

Mission

Our mission is to provide the youth of our community with a foundation of faith, unlimited educational resources, and support for mental health awareness. Trinity Youth Center will maintain a safe zone for all youth. We will empower our youth by providing the tools needed for success.

Needs

Our Needs

To continue serving local youth, we rely on support for computers and technology, job-readiness resources, life-skills supplies, gaming and trade-skill equipment, mental health and faith-based programming materials, and the ongoing costs of maintaining a safe, welcoming space where youth can learn, grow, and prepare for their future.
