In 4‑H, we believe in the power of young people. We are America’s largest youth development organization—empowering nearly six million young people across the U.S. and nearly 500 in York County with the skills to lead for a lifetime. 4‑H provides experiences where young people learn by doing. For more than 100 years, 4‑H has welcomed young people of all beliefs and backgrounds, giving kids a voice to express who they are and how they make their lives and communities better. Though typically thought of as an agriculturally focused organization, 4-H today focuses on citizenship, healthy living, science, engineering, and technology programs. Clubs in today’s 4-H world consist of a wide range of options each allowing for personal growth and career success. Donations to the program support 4-Hers trips to camps and other special programs, leadership development activities and the York County 4-H Center which gives the program a home for the activities of the organization.

For more than 100 years, 4‑H has welcomed young people of all beliefs and backgrounds, giving kids a voice to express who they are and how they make their lives and communities better.
Through life-changing 4‑H programs, nearly six million kids and teens have taken on critical societal issues, such as addressing community health inequities, engaging in civil discourse and advocating for equity and inclusion for all.
Here in York County, 4-H helps youth from all areas learn skills needed to create outstanding citizens and leaders.
