Big Brothers Big Sisters of South-Central Pennsylvania

A nonprofit organization

For almost 45 years Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of South-Central PA has operated under the belief that inherent in every child is the ability to succeed and thrive in life. BBBS makes meaningful monitored matches between adult volunteer mentors ("Bigs") and children ("Littles") in our 7-county service area including York County.

We develop positive relationships that have a direct lasting effect on the lives of young people. At the heart of everything we do is our vision that all youth achieve their full potential and our mission to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.

By partnering with parents/guardians, volunteers and others in the community we are accountable for each child in our program achieving higher aspirations; greater confidence and better relationships; avoidance of risky behaviors; and educational success. Research shows relationships between Littles and their Bigs have a direct and measurable impact; the children are more confident in their schoolwork performance; able to get along better with their families; 46% less likely to begin using illegal drugs; 27% less likely to begin using alcohol; and 52% less likely to skip school.

With your support, we can continue to extend our reach and ignite the power of our youth.  Your donation will help provide vital resources and mentorship opportunities, ensuring every child has the chance to succeed. We are truly bigger together—donate today and be a part of their journey! Thank you!
