Daily Support Services Uniting the 1 in 4 Loss Parents living with Unimaginable Loss

Infertility, Pregnancy & Infant Loss Survivors

We offer various daily support services for each survivor to pick and choose what works for them. We are all different in our grief and trauma journey. It’s about the survivor having options during the most horrific time to see what will help them most when coping and living after their traumatic loss.

All of our volunteers are trauma informed trained and loss survivors with different stories and experiences to help support those from the beginning of their journey as they leave the hospital empty armed throughout their entire life. Losing a child changes your life forever. When you are going through anything in life isn't it better to be connected to someone who can relate to your thoughts and feelings?

Background Statement

Chasing the Rainbows is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families who have experienced infertility, miscarriage, stillbirth, infant loss, and pregnancy after loss. Since our founding, we have provided free, trauma-informed care and resources in a safe environment, serving more than 10,000 families nationwide, including over 2,500 residents in York County.

Our programs address the critical emotional, psychological, and practical needs of grieving parents, offering daily support groups, peer mentorship, therapy referrals, mindfulness and movement programs, educational workshops, podcasts, care packages, advocacy, and memorial events. Each program is designed to reduce isolation, provide evidence-based support, and help families navigate the complex grief associated with pregnancy and infant loss.

Chasing the Rainbows relies on a combination of volunteer engagement, community partnerships, and strategic digital outreach, including high-value SEO domains and Google Ad Grants, to ensure families in need can find and access support. Our ongoing commitment is to maintain all services at no cost to participants while expanding reach and sustaining program quality nationwide.

Needs

Despite the profound need, access to trauma-informed, no-cost support remains extremely limited. Many families struggle to find safe, compassionate services at a time when emotional, mental, and physical care is critical.

Chasing the Rainbows addresses these gaps through 10 comprehensive services, including daily support groups, peer mentorship, therapy referrals, care packages, educational workshops, podcasts, mindful movement programs, advocacy, and memorial events. However, the scale and impact of these programs are constrained by limited funding and volunteer resources.

Volunteer Opportunities:

Community members, college students, and professionals can support our work by:

1. Assisting with signature events such as the Bursting Bubble 5K Walk & Run and the Masquerade Gala (sponsor outreach, attendee registration, setup/tear-down).

2. Providing social media, marketing, and website support to amplify program awareness.

3. Supporting peer mentorship, workshop facilitation, and administrative tasks to ensure families receive timely and personalized support.

Funding Opportunities:

Financial support allows Chasing the Rainbows to:

- Sustain and expand all 10 free programs.

- Provide trauma-informed therapy, care packages, and mentorship for families in need.

- Improve digital infrastructure, including SEO and Google Ad Grant campaigns, to ensure families can easily find life-saving resources.

- Enhance volunteer training, program materials, and event execution to maximize community impact.

With adequate funding and volunteers, Chasing the Rainbows can reach more families in crisis, expand local and national support networks, and ensure that no parent faces infertility or infant loss alone.
