Coast to Coast Dachshund Rescue (CCDR)

Celebrating our 25th Anniversary this year, Coast to Coast Dachshund Rescue (CCDR) is an all-volunteer group who works persistently to help re-home dachshunds and dachshund mixes to loving homes, since our founding in August 2000. CCDR takes dachshunds in need into our network of foster homes and gives them the care, training and veterinary services they need, until qualified forever homes can be found. We actively network with other rescues and shelters to support transportation and placement of dachshunds to safety.

In addition to the focus on actively rescuing dachshunds in need, our members work hard to fundraise and educate the public in the importance of rescue and altering their pets. CCDR vetting costs are extremely high and adoption fees don't come close to covering them, especially when dogs need services beyond routine care, such as surgeries or specialists. CCDR survives and thrives due to those who generously donate to us and as a result of our members who work hard to fundraise and attend local events.
