EMILYS CARE CLOSET INC

Meet Emily...Emily is a teen with a big heart for service. Emily was taking a tour of a local food pantry and saw that there weren't many choices when it came to personal care items available for families. She learned that these products could not be purchased with SNAP benefits, so people had to pay out of pocket for these items if purchased at retail stores. She didn't want families to have to choose between purchasing these basic necessities or perhaps paying for housing or utilities. Her dream was to have a nonprofit organization. The organization has grown considerably in the last few years. Each month, Emily's Care Closet has a basket distribution and provides baskets of personal care items for families in need serving approximately 100 families each month.  Emily's Care Closet also hosts two teen-focused drives each year.

The Back-to-school drive provides teens with new back-to-school clothes, backpacks, and school supplies. At Christmas, Emily's Care Closet hosts a teen Christmas Gift Drive and provides teens with Christmas gifts, new clothes, and baskets of personal care items. 

In 2024, the organization served over 3300 individuals from over 1,250 families. For more information, www.emilyscarecloset.org

• Baskets of Personal Care items such as soap, shampoo, toothpaste, and cleaning supplies
• Teens with brand-new clothes, backpacks, and school supplies
• Christmas gifts and brand-new clothes for teens during the holidays
