Finanta

Finanta (formerly Community First Fund) is a private, independent non-profit Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) whose mission is to provide capital in places where it is not usually available.

We seek to create positive change in the York community by providing entrepreneurs with access to business development loans for projects that generate jobs, create affordable housing and help to revitalize the community.

Our approach to building vibrant and healthy communities includes increasing development of affordable and market rate housing units, turning blighted and vacant buildings into community assets, creating educational opportunities for children, youth and adults, enhancing access to food and healthcare, and providing the resources necessary for job-creating businesses to start up and grow.

Since inception, we've made over $37 million in loans and grants to businesses in York County, with 76% of loans going to businesses in low to moderate income communities. Your donation creates this catalytic capital that helps start-up entrepreneurs take their first steps on the path to economic prosperity and gives established businesses the tools they need to continue their journey.

We are proud of the work we do and are fortunate to work with many community partners making a difference in their communities. We have financed small business and large-scale community development projects in York County and across Pennsylvania (Adams, Berks, Bucks, Chester, Cumberland, Dauphin, Delaware, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Lehigh, Montgomery, Northampton, Perry, Philadelphia, and York), Delaware (Kent, New Castle and Sussex) and New Jersey (Camden, Gloucester and Burlington).
