Give Local York Stretch Pool

Give Local York is York County's biggest day of giving - a 24-hour celebration of a community in action that brings our neighbors together to support the nonprofits that make York a thriving, stronger place to live. Since 2018, Give Local York has grown to a respected annual event that rallies thousands of donors each year to uplift local organization through collective giving. In just one day, neighbors, businesses, families, and friends come together to show that when York shows up, we show up big.

By providing a shared platform, networking, training opportunities, and resources, Give Local York empowers local nonprofits of all sizes to raise funds, grow visibility, and connect with new supporters. Ultimately, this helps nonprofits continue the essential work they do all year long.

Specifically, the Give Local York Stretch Pool embodies the heart of community-empowered impact. Funded by sponsors and private donors, the Stretch Pool is an additional pot of money that is distributed to participating nonprofits based on their participation in the big day.

To put it simply: the more donors participate in Give Local York, the more dollars local nonprofits receive.

The amount received by each organization is proportional to each organization's number of unique donors. For example, if an organization receives 2% of the total donors during Give Local York, they will receive 2% of the Stretch Pool.
