Hoffman Homes | INACTIVE

A nonprofit organization

Hoffman Homes is a non-profit organization providing both inpatient and outpatient behavioral health and mental health treatment and educational services to those in need. Our mental health/behavioral health services include a Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF), Therapeutic Shelter, Transitional Living Program, and Outpatient Therapy program. In addition, our school, Hoffman Academy, provides emotional support and regular education to individuals in grades 1-12.

On an average day, there are approximately 75 youth/young adults in our residential programs, supported by 24/7 residential and medical services staff, as well as teachers, therapists, doctors, and administrators. Currently, we are also serving approximately 30 clients through our outpatient therapy program. Together, we help people build hope, skills, and a brighter future for themselves, their families, and community.

York County residents comprise a large percentage of youth/young adults coming to Hoffman Homes for services and care. Since June 2024, 35 York youth received treatment in our Psychiatric Residential Treatment program (PRTF), Therapeutic Shelter and Transitional Living Program (TLP)

Hoffman Academy, our onsite private academic school for grades 1-12, is another growing resource for York County students. Currently, we have 6 York individuals enrolled as Day Students. The school offers regular education and special education (emotional support). It also offers low student-to-teacher ratios and a personalized trauma-informed approach. Transportation to/from Hoffman Homes is provided by school districts.

Trinity Residence

In late Fall 2022, York/Adams Community Care Behavioral Health (CCBH) reached out to Hoffman Homes for Youth asking how we could work together to secure more beds for their members in our Psychiatric Residential Treatment program (PRTF). We are the only provider in southcentral Pennsylvania that provides the type and array of services for youth who are diagnosed with severe mental health challenges. The goal of the Trinity program is to increase family engagement and visitation opportunities while also providing services within the home environment. We currently have 9 youth in the program. We have received positive feedback from both guardians and county agencies!

Fostering hope and building a brighter future for every youth and young adult on campus is how we measure success. Your support fuels our important work. Thank you!
