M.O.R.E. for Furry Friends is a 501c3 nonprofit that was founded in 2017 to connect pet owners with the resources, education and support they need to take responsible care for their pets to reduce pet abandonment, neglect, abuse and shelter surrendering.  Our organization was named after our feline founder, Murphy!  After discovering that Murphy was abandoned by his previous owners, our president struggled to find the resources needed to properly assess Murphy's needs and care for him.  Murphy essentially became the "cat-alyst" for our conception which is to bridge the gap between the resources, those organizations that have them and the pet owners and altruistic individuals that want to help companion animals in need.

We strive to keep pets with their families and to assist individuals who take responsibility of stray or disadvantaged animals.

Every single dollar raised in our fundraising efforts is directly returned into our community programs. We provide free Feline Spay /Neuter/vaccinations to low income and high risk families in York County as well as food & resources for those struggling to care for their pets. We also provide low cost microchip clinics, Rehoming support (inc. paid ad sponsorships to boost networking), Educational activities (such as our Free K9 Activity Tent at events) & low cost Pet Enrichment toys. Our newest venture in 2026 is our Feed MORE Pets pet food pantry, located at 326 East Broadway in Red Lion.

We have helped hundreds of pets in York county since 2017 and we want to help even MORE in 2026!!

And to think it all started with a FIV+ chunk that showed up on our doorstep needing help!.

Our latest goal post is to provide financial assistance for Canine Spay & Neuter surgeries and veterinary care to low income families in York County and to host our own pet education event to better connect these wonderful resources and pet professionals with local pet owners!

Please help US, help THEM?

Who We Are

Our vision is to reduce pet surrendering, abandonment and neglect often caused by a lack of financial, education & networking resources. We assist, support & refer all York County pet owners, feral colony caretakers & individual rescuers to provide pets & strays the essential resources to stay with their families or get a second chance at life. We believe that through unity and collaborative support we can make a difference for the pets and families in our community.
For nearly 10 years we have provided much needed resources to our community's pets & strays through our outreach programs and with the support of our donors. Our Less is MORE program has supported pet owners in need by providing FREE feline spay, neuter & core vaccinations. Our Colony Caretaker Outreach has donated dozens of homemade feral/stray cat shelters & much needed food.
We have rehabilitated and rehomed many cats to their furever homes through our foster program and donated food, toys and supplies to local pet owners struggling to care for their pets.
We frequently provide Free Social Media Marketing Boosts to help owners find new homes for their pets when they have no other choice but to make that difficult decision and we provide education and resources to help keep those pets in their home when it is possible.
We host regular Affordable Microchip Clinics so that owners can afford to ensure their pet's safety should they become lost.
We have performed & assisted in multiple TNR efforts to keep unwanted litters from becoming unmanageable colonies.
With our networked partners in animal care, we are able to provide resources and hope to those that had nowhere else to turn when they find a stray cat or dog or are simply unable to take responsible care of their pets.
