Miss Bobbi's Place

It is through my experience as a former York City School District teacher that Miss Bobbi’s Place was created. Having had a former student who was facing homelessness, I realized the toll that it can have on children and families. There are very few homeless shelters in the city of York, Pennsylvania that cater to the specific needs of an entire family unit. Often times, families are split apart while they are trying to get back on their feet during this time of incredible need. Miss Bobbi’s Place will provide apartment-style units that families can live in while they receive the resources needed to live independently. 

The mission of Miss Bobbi's Place is to provide a safe, Christ-centered dwelling for the entire family unit.

Through a partnership with Community Progress Council, Miss Bobbi's Place will provide families with the opportunities to receive various supports and services, such as educational classes, job training, financial counseling, and so much more!

As of May 1, 2025:

• Units #1-#4 are completed with families living in each one!
• Work on Unit #5 is underway
• Plans for outdoor spaces, security of property, and parking begin
