Raven Ridge Wildlife Center is proud to have devoted nearly a decade to the vital work of rescuing and rehabilitating wildlife in Lancaster & York Counties! As the sole center in the area specializing in birds of prey—like owls, vultures, hawks, and eagles—we play an essential role in safeguarding these incredible creatures. Additionally, we are one of only 13 centers in Pennsylvania dedicated to rehabilitating Rabies Vector Species, including foxes, skunks, raccoons, bats, and woodchucks.
Our heartfelt mission at Raven Ridge is to offer wildlife a second chance at life. We are continually striving to expand our facilities, ensuring we provide the highest level of care to the animals that come to us seeking help. Once they have fully recovered, we joyfully release them back into the wild, where they can thrive and contribute to a balanced ecosystem.
Founded and led by the passionate Tracie Young, Raven Ridge is deeply rooted in a love for animals. Tracie's journey began in response to the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, which underscored the importance of licensed wildlife rehabilitators in supporting affected animals. Tracie was denied access to the oil spill as she was not a licensed Wildlife Rehabilitator. With an unwavering commitment, Tracie volunteered and apprenticed for years, honing her skills to become a licensed rehabilitator in Pennsylvania. She excelled in the rigorous standards set by the Pennsylvania Game Commission, achieving outstanding scores on all three certification tests.
Join us in our mission to protect and nurture the wildlife of York County—your support can truly make a difference! Together, we can continue this vital work and ensure that these magnificent creatures thrive for generations to come.
