The Grotto Community Center

Six years ago, The Grotto opened its doors, driven by a vision to cultivate a vibrant community for isolated creatives and entrepreneurs. Today, we stand as a beacon of inspiration, fostering creativity, connection, and growth.

As a nonprofit organization, we're dedicated to providing an authentic and equitable space for resource sharing, community events, and networking. Situated in the heart of Downtown York, The Grotto has become a home for artists, businesses, designers, and visionaries alike.

Over the past six years, we've achieved remarkable milestones:

• 900+ individuals have joined us to cowork, collaborate, and innovate.
• We've hosted community performances, events, and activities – including our WHEREABOUTS networking event and Prom social.
• Our photostudio has served a variety photographers and creatives.
• 600+ adult students have gained invaluable skills and insights through our diverse range of classes and workshops, from Figure Drawing to Entrepreneur Moral Support Group
• We officially moved to our new home at 17 East Philadelphia Street.
