York City Dollars for Scholars, Inc.

For students growing up in York City, college is often within reach — but staying there is another story. Tuition, books, and living costs add up fast, and when funding runs out, too many promising students are forced to choose between school and survival.

York City Dollars for Scholars exists to change that equation.

In 2025, we awarded over $100,000 in scholarships to 50 first-year students. But we didn't stop there — because most scholarship programs do. We also invested $38,000 in rising sophomores and $26,000 in upperclassmen, because we know the funding cliff after freshman year is where dreams most often stall.
