Friends,
Most of you know our story. Our oldest son, Justin, passed away in a car accident on October 29, 2004. As you can imagine, this event was life changing for our entire family. Learning to cope with this level of grief was truly overwhelming. We were especially lost trying to navigate how to help our youngest son cope with the loss of his brother. It's one thing to try and navigate grief as an adult, but what you also have to face is how to help your family learn to process, manage and carry their grief with them in healthy ways, because truly, it never really goes away. Fortunately, our family was blessed to be directed to Olivia's House, a non-profit grief and support organization that specializes in helping children learn to cope with loss.
As a prior participant in Olivia's House programs, I'm now a board member helping to support an organization that did so much to support our family. I'm asking you to consider making a contribution to Olivia's House so they can continue to provide programs and professional services to local children (and their families) facing loss.
Whether or not you are able to make a donation, if you would like to know more about my journey living with loss, please listen to the below Olivia's House Podcast, "Guess Who Died" where I was honored to be a podcast guest.
Thank you for your consideration.
