4 Paws 4 A Cause is dedicated to empowering adults (18+) with disabilities by helping them train and certify their own dogs as service animals. We provide comprehensive training in General Obedience, Public Access, and specific disability-related tasks—all free of charge.

Service dogs are much more than pets; they are life-changing partners. We don’t simply hand over fully trained dogs, our program ensures that each handler works closely with their dog through training to become a fully cohesive team. These highly trained animals perform vital tasks tailored to their handler’s needs, allowing individuals with disabilities to engage with the world in ways that would otherwise be impossible. Service dogs can assist with nearly every type of disability, from physical impairments to mental health conditions. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), a disability includes any physical or mental condition that significantly limits daily activities—this includes blindness, hearing loss, mobility issues, and more.

With the right training, any dog can become a service animal.
