White Rose Senior Center - Lisa Krout

The photo I’m sharing is from our Volunteer Appreciation Day held on April 21st at White Rose Senior Center—truly one of my favorite days of the year. Pictured are the incredible volunteers from Shadowfax who faithfully deliver home-delivered meals three times a week to our homebound neighbors. Their dedication ensures that so many in our community receive not only a meal, but also a friendly check-in and a reminder that they are not alone. We are so grateful for their kindness and commitment. We are also blessed to have other organizations and individuals who give just as generously, and we are always proud to recognize and appreciate each and every one of them.

As we participate in Give Local York, one of my goals is to raise funds that allow us to give back to those who give so much. Donations will help us provide small tokens of appreciation like holiday gift cards, gas cards, and other meaningful gestures to show our gratitude. We are always looking for new volunteers and would love to welcome anyone who wants to get involved. I can’t do this work without people like you—those with generous hearts who believe in supporting their community. Thank you so much for your kindness and support.
